Hi there,

Another week goes flying by, lots of things to do, people to see….We got two ‘Go With The Flow’ posters up at the local Shopping Mall, and have received an email from someone who got our web address off the poster, not a bad response for only being up for 4 days!  I am putting up lots of Holistic Fair posters around town and dropping flyers off here and there. You have to understand that George is a sleepy town and we are up against a lot of lethargy here.  Advertising and marketing is not easily done here, and, as I am told at least twice a day ‘Word of mouth is the best form of advertising here. I am sure that is so but, it is so blooming slow!

In today is Mothers Day and having been sung to (and prayed for) by both girls, in their different classes on different days, I am sick to death of it all.  Cassie’s 45 minute assembly had 3 prayers and 2 hymns, it was all very touching - but those that know me know I am not that way inclined and found it all very sickly sweet and quite irritating.  Cassie’s face was a picture and she lit up when she saw I was there, so I suppose that makes it all worth while,  that and the jam, cream and chocolate scones afterwards J

We went on a 5 km walk yesterday morning with the girl’s school, we were not enthusiastic, but it was beautiful and the sun was shining and the mountains looked clean and fresh, like you could touch them.  There are moments that you know exactly why we live here in .

Going With The Flow

With the girls back at school, things can get back to ‘normal’ again. When we actual find normal it might be wonderful – on the other hand it might be boring….I think I might like boring for a while.

We have restructured my Meditation Class this week and are moving forward fast now.  This is still an open circle so please come and join us every Wednesday at .

The Ezine is a bit more complicated than it looks – there is a lot of research to do and typeface to set up.  I am still working on it – thank you to those who have offered support and sent in articles but be patient, like British Rail - I will get there eventually.

Hypnotherapy, NLP & Life Coaching

How often do you find yourself thinking “if only I could turn back the clock……..”?

Did you know that all your memories are incorrect? According to the latest research into memory, each time we ‘remember’ an event from our past, we actually recreate the memory from scratch. Not only that, we shape that newly created memory based on our current situation and expectations.

So what? I hear you ask.

Well, since we base current behaviour on our ‘memories’ of past events and behaviours, if we consciously choose to replace our ‘memories’ of the past with ‘false memories’ of the past, our subconscious mind takes the ‘false memories’ as the basis for current behaviour.

This means, next time you find yourself thinking  “if only I could turn back the clock…”. make the imagining as real and vivid as possible – act as if you really did do things the way you wished you had and you will find, more and more, that you act and behave in a manner that fits with the newly imagined past and before you know it, you will find you stop having that – “if only…” thought because you are now happy with your current situation.

For really fast and powerful results from this approach ask your friendly Hypnotherapist/NLP practitioner.

Andy’s Joke Of The Week

Two quickies for you this week – sharing a common theme…..

Difficult Question

An 8-year-old girl went to her dad, who was working in the yard. She asked him, "Daddy, what is sex?"

The father was surprised that she would ask such a question, but decided that if she is old enough to ask the question, then she is old enough to get a straight answer. He proceeded to tell her all about the birds and the bees.

When he finished explaining, the little girl was looking at him with her mouth hanging open.

The father asked her, "Why did you ask this question?"

The little girl replied, "Mom told me to tell you that dinner would be ready in just a couple of secs."

No Extras!

A married couple goes into a dentist’s office. The husband is in a big hurry. He says, “No expensive extras, Doc. No gas or needles or any of that fancy stuff. Just pull the tooth and get it over with.”

“I wish more of my patients were as brave as you,” the dentist says. “Now, which tooth is it?”

The husband turns to his wife and says, “Show him your tooth, honey.”

Did You Know?

Think On This

(from the )
# 1. Cows
# 2. The Constitution
# 3. The Ten Commandments

COWS
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate over 797,000 children who go missing in our country each year. Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

CONSTITUTION
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for
. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.

THE 10 COMMANDMENTS
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this:
You cannot post -
# "Thou Shalt Not Steal",
# "Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery", and
# "Thou Shall Not Lie"
in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians… It creates a hostile work environment

Web Exploration

Feeling good today – I managed to set up Moveable Type on my server, this is a publishing platform that should make blogging and newsletters easier, in theory anyway.

We got www.hypnoticseeds.com up and running this week – Andy already wants to redesign it, he says its ‘too in your face!’ Well I guess I’m a ‘in your face’ kind of person but I guess I can tone it down a bit J but I like colour and bold type!!

I have started on the next site – it’s a lot quieter – there is a lot of writing to do for this one so it might take a while,  I hate being patient, I want it all NOW.  I sound just like my five year old.

Parting Thoughts

"Time is too slow for those who wait,

too swift for those who fear,

too long for those who grieve,

too short for those who rejoice,

but for those who love, time is eternity."

 --Henry Van Dyke

Thank you for your continued support and wonderful feedback - it's lovely to be appreciated. As we mentioned before, if you are into the same sort of things and have a website that you would like to swap links, please get in touch.

"Though we can do this alone, we prefer to have company..."

Sincerely,

N.B. For those that wonder, yes we do use both spellings of centre/center, this is because we speak English English but live in a country that seems to use American English – clear as mud now isn’t it.
